If you are a newcomer to SQUIDOO, you should follow the step below to create a new lens with the step by step guide below:-

1. Login to Squidoo. If you don’t have an account registered with SQUIDOO, check out the details from my post here.

2. Click on the “Make a Lens (in just 5 minutes)” link to bring you to Step 1.

3. Enter a Lens Title. If you not sure what contribute to a good lens title, refer to my post here. Click on the Step 2 button once you selected you Lens Title.

Note: You can still change the Lens title at the later stage! so no worry if you are not sure on the Lens title.

4. On the Step 2 page, there will be 4 options for you to select. Choose the last option “I just want to do my own thing.”. Click on the Step 3 button to continue to next step.

5. In Step 3, you need to enter your lens URL. This is important, as it is just like your domain name where the search engine first look at. Read my post on how to select a Good Squidoo Lens URL.

After you select your Lens URL, you will need to select a category for your lens. The last thing is to select your Lens rating (G, R and X rating).

Note: Lens URL cannot be change once it is created. So be careful!!

6. You are almost done with the creation of Squidoo lens, You will need to enter few keywords (tags) for Search Engine to find your lens. You should try to use the long-tail keywords to promote your lens. Try to think from the consumer end, what would they type in Search engine when they try to find information on the Internet.

Enter a minimum 3 keyword for your lens as a start. You can enter up to 40 keywords (tags) at the later stage.

Once you are done with the keyword, enter the characters appears on the screen to confirm the creation of your lens (anti-spam feature). click on “Done” button!.

Yes!! you are done with the creation of your first lens and you can start to edit your lens! I will show you how to add different modules into your lens to start making money!!!
